Installation and Deployment

The cable guides for the hem bar will run the length of the door, secured at a position just above the level of the floor.

Unlike the locking hem bar design, there is nothing to engage when the hem bar is lowered.
It is ready to provide full protection once it has reached the bottom of the door.
Nor is there anything to disengage before retracting the shield, allowing the shade to deploy and retract with complete automation.
Care must be taken that no obstacles will interfere with the cables or the hem bar's ability to ride up and down on them.
